Le Relais des Moëres / Les Papillons Blancs
Accès
Founded in 1961, the Papillons blancs de Dunkerque association covers the whole of Dunkirk. It is run by family members and friends who are involved and committed both to the people cared for within the association and to those in the Dunkirk area.
As part of her residency with the Effet Papillon Fab Lab in Téteghem, Tiphaine Calmettes worked at the Relais des Moëres nursing home as part of a community that brings together the residents of a neighbourhood undergoing transformation, the residents of the nursing home and its day care service, and young people supported by the specialist prevention service. The open worksites provided an opportunity to share the creative process involved in building a raw-earth bread oven. From the heap of earth, trodden underfoot, to the ornamental motifs, it is a customary sculpture that sees the light of day, and the fruit of a collective and shared energy.
