The starting point for this project is an artistic proposal by Olivier Grossetête, a visual artist who specialises in building cardboard monuments with the participation of local people. Around this proposal, Le Bateau Feu wishes to involve several groups from local structures (secondary schools, social and medico-social structures) in the development of the project, particularly in the choice and creation of the monument constructed. The groups will meet from 12 June to take part in pre-construction workshops. A workshop slot will also be open to the general public. All the participants will then get together to build and deconstruct this ephemeral building. Over an exceptional and festive weekend, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2023, we will be inviting the residents of the Dunkirk conurbation to join the groups in constructing a utopian building. It’s a unique opportunity to experience art together!

Workshop open to the general public (between 12 and 16 June 2023): free with registration at the Bateau Feu ticket office (+33 3 28 51 40 40 or billetterie@lebateaufeu.com ) Construction weekend on 17 and 18 June 2023: free and open to all.
