The Maison de la Culture d’Amiens (MCA), in partnership with the CNAP, is screening Alexander Abaturov’s film Paradis as part of the Resonance screenings of the 2023 Art & Industry Triennial, as part of the Le feu, tous les feux programme.

In the summer of 2021, a heat wave and exceptional drought caused giant fires that ravaged 19 million hectares in north-eastern Siberia. In this region, in the heart of the taiga, the village of Shologon is shrouded in a thick cloud of smoke. The black ashes carried by the wind spread alarming news: the forest is on fire and the flames are approaching. Abandoned by the state, the villagers are mobilising to cope with the disaster.
