As part of the Resonance film screenings of the Art & Industry Triennial 2023, the St Omer / Longuenesse Prison is screening Ghassan Halwani’s film Erased_Ascent of The Invisible as part of Le souffle, l’air et l’eau.

Using photographs, moving images and shots of the city, Ghassan Halwani attempts to retrace the steps of those who disappeared during the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990). It’s a search as meticulous as it is poetic, beneath the rubble of memory, literally scratching the skin of walls in search of traces of drawings of missing faces.
