“Nous sommes les étoiles” (We are the stars)
The Universe is thought to have formed almost 14 billion years ago. All the energy that would give rise to everything that exists in the Universe today was concentrated in a tiny spot. Then came the Big Bang…
A journey through time and space from the origin of the Universe to the present day, revealing nuclear fusion and the stellar origin of chemical elements. This session shows how our own Solar System was formed, how this inanimate matter gradually organised itself to give rise to the first living cells and their innumerable descendants.
