The performance Maxillaire is mainly about the energy produced by our bodies when we eat and the effects of chewing on our faces.

Our relationship with our own image is becoming increasingly important. We multiply the images of ourselves, their realities and their fictions, resorting to photographic retouching and the most perfectionist staging. This performance will look at the question of energy production from a perspective that is both internal to our bodies and visible: our body’s energy production and its consequences for our physical appearance and the image we have of it.

The idea is to give a speech, written beforehand1, tracing the causal relationships between the energy used by humans in their food, the energy produced by humans during digestion, particularly during mastication, and their implications for our facial morphologies.

The talk will be accompanied by actions using objects.

It will last between 25 and 30 minutes.
