IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE VILLA MARGUERITE YOURCENAR

Meetings and readings with Noémie Grunenwald / Nadine Gassie / Vélina Minkoff in partnership with the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar

Noémie Grunenwald is a translator from English into French, specialising in literature and the social sciences, as well as feminist issues. She currently translates academic articles, essays and literature.

Vélina Minkoff, who has both Bulgarian and French nationality, was born into a family of literary translators. In 2017, she completed a master’s degree in literary translation, which opened her eyes to the richness of the translation profession. She then co-translated her own novel Le Grand Leader doit venir nous voir, published in 2018.

Nadine Gassie has been a literary translator for almost 40 years. In the course of her career, which has taken the form of a literary nomadism akin to anthropological fieldwork, she has served the voices of great American authors such as Stephen King. Now, with a passion for Australian literature, she is translating the complete works of Randolph Stow.
