Published by EsäLab|Recherche (a research unit of Esä | Dunkerque-Tourcoing), la mire opens up an interdisciplinary space that brings together different points of view on identified contemporary issues. It brings together the experiments carried out within the various programmes run by the school with the research being developed in other higher arts education establishments and research laboratories, as well as in different fields on a national and international scale. Fuelled by both artistic and theoretical proposals, it offers a reflection of research in the field of art as well as in other fields, allowing for both porosities and contradictions in a holistic approach.

The theme of Energy(s) has been chosen to echo the Art & Industry Triennial. Over and above the geopolitical, economic and social issues crystallised by the economic situation in 2022, we had the intuition that this subject could give rise to a wide range of ideas.
