1975, Bazas, France / San Francisco, États-Unis d'Amérique
Suzanne Husky, born in Bazas in 1975, lives and works in Bazas and San Francisco. After obtaining her diploma from the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, she moved to California. There, she started sculpting and documenting urban activism. Later, she pursued training in horticultural landscaping. Since 2016, she co-directs with Stéphanie Sagot “Le Nouveau Ministère de l’Agriculture,” a fictitious institution aimed at unmasking the absurdities of French agricultural policies through collaboration.
In 2022, Suzanne Husky participated in the 16th Lyon Contemporary Art Biennale. In 2021, she presented her work at the Villa Medici Film Festival in Rome, the Timișoara Biennale, Transpalette in Bourges, Espace Voltaire in Paris, and IAC Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes. She has also exhibited at the Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA in Bordeaux (2020), the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (2020), the 16th Istanbul Biennial (2019), the San Francisco International Airport (2017), the De Young Museum (2010), and the Bay Area Now 5 triennial at YBCA in San Francisco (2008), among others.
