Rebekka Deubner (Munich, Germany, 1989) lives and works in Paris. She graduated from L’école des Gobelins in Paris in 2013. Through her photographic work, Rebekka Deubner questions our Western gaze on the territory of Japan, marked by various events. According to the artist, photography is a “place of sensitivity rather than shock, a place of compassion rather than spectacle.”

In addition to her photographic work, Rebekka Deubner founded the publishing house “Le rayon vert” and also organizes traveling exhibitions with Pauline Hisbacq. She was named the jury’s favorite for the fourth edition of the Prix LE BAL/ADAGP for young creation in 2021.
