Pauline Hisbacq, born in 1980, lives and works in Paris. She studied philosophy at the University of Toulouse (2002) and continued her education at the École nationale supérieure de la photographie in Arles (2011).

Her work, whether in photography or through the manipulation of archival images (collages, montages), poetically addresses themes of youth, desire, rites of passage, and resistance.

In 2016, Pauline Hisbacq co-founded September Books, a publishing house specialized in books of images, together with François Santerre.
