Lina Jabbour
1973, Clermont-Ferrand, France / Marseille, France
Lina Jabbour, born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1973, lives and works in Marseille. She obtained her diploma from ENSA in Bourges. Her drawings, paintings, installations, sculptures, and videos interconnect reflections on identity and migration with references to travel. Her work shifts from a politically engaged discourse on identity to a more dreamlike narrative, where a sensitive gaze is ever-present. In a suspended time, Lina Jabbour explores considerations on matter, color, and texture through representations of landscapes and abstractions alike.
