Jürgen Nefzger

Jürgen Nefzger (Fürth, Germany, 1968) is a German photographer. He graduated from the École nationale supérieure de la photographie in Arles, France, and has been living and working in France since 1991. He also teaches photography at the École supérieure d’art d’Aix-en-Provence (ESAAix). While adopting a documentary style, Jürgen Nefzger explores themes related to the impact of society on the environment. He observes the contemporary landscape to depict the changes in society. His projects are often carried out over several years, resulting in large series of photographs. His work has been featured in several solo exhibitions, including “Le CRI des Lumières” at Château de Lunnéville (2019), “La Chambre” in Strasbourg (2019), and “MABA, Maison d’art Bernard Anthonioz” in Nogent-sur-Marne (2017).
