Hortense Soichet

Hortense Soichet (Toulouse, 1982) is a researcher and photographer living in Paris. In 2010, she obtained a Ph.D. in Aesthetics, Sciences, and Technology of the Arts from the University Paris 8. In her work, Hortense Soichet focuses on the representation of territories and ways of life. Since 2009, she has been conducting long-term research on the concept of “habiter” (inhabiting) in French. Several solo exhibitions have been dedicated to her work in France. Her artwork is part of the collections of the Musée Carnavalet and the Centre national des arts plastiques, among others.
