Franziska Furter
1972, Bâle, Suisse / Berlin, Allemagne
Franziska Furter (Zurich, Switzerland, 1972) lives and works in Basel and Berlin. She studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Basel. In her practice, she works with ink or pencil on paper, but she also incorporates materials such as nylon ropes, plastic sheets, modeling clay, straws, or textiles for her installations and drawings. She is interested in visualizing the invisible, and one of her favorite subjects is time, which shapes our environment and lives in so many ways. Several solo exhibitions have been dedicated to her work on an international scale.
