Edith Dekyndt
1960, Bruxelles, Belgique
Edith Dekyndt (Ypres, Belgium, 1960) is a Belgian visual artist. She lives and works between Brussels and Berlin. Edith Dekyndt creates videos, photographs, object installations, environments, and sound pieces. Her works have no end or beginning: rather than focusing on a final form, she is interested in the process that gives rise to a form, a moment, an action. Through her work, Edith Dekyndt reveals what is usually invisible, intangible, or ephemeral.
Her works have been exhibited in international institutions such as the International Biennial of Contemporary Art, Riga, Latvia (2020)/ Taipei Biennial, Taiwan (2020)/ Kunsthalle Hamburg, Germany (2019)/ BiennalSur, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2019).
Recent solo exhibitions have taken place at Aria Of Inertia, Chapelle de Laennec, Pinault Collection, Paris (2022)/ The Memory Of Everything In The World, Karin Guenther Gallery, Hamburg, (2022)/ Myodesopsies, The L-Project, Berlin (2022)/ Concentrated Form of Non-Material Energy, Stiftung St. Matthaüs, Berlin (2022)/ Visitation Zone (Part .2), 91.530 Le Marais, Le Val St Germain/The Ghost Year, Greta Meert Gallery, Brussels (2020).
