Droog Design is a Dutch conceptual design company located in Amsterdam. It was founded in 1993 by Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers. Droog Design is known for working closely with an international network of designers, architects, and artists.
The Droog Design collection currently consists of over 200 products designed by more than a hundred designers. The collection is also distributed through Droog Design stores in Amsterdam, New York, and Tokyo. New designs are often developed and presented in relation to exhibitions.
In 1999, an exhibition on Droog was held at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, followed by a retrospective exhibition in 2006/2007 at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York titled “Simply Droog: 10 + 3 years of creating innovation and discussion.”
