Charlotte Johannesson

Charlotte Johannesson (Malmö, Sweden, 1943) is a self-taught artist. She lives and works in Skanör, Sweden.
Throughout her artistic career, she has developed a rich body of work that combines the traditional craft of weaving with digital programming, exploring their formal and conceptual connections. She is perceived as a pioneer in the use of digital graphics as an artistic medium. In the spring of 2021, a retrospective of her work was exhibited at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid. Her work has also been recently exhibited at Nottingham Contemporary, United Kingdom (2023).
